I was shocked to see anything like that in Oz :-) 05-QueenVicMarket Queen Vic Market ... I can't believe I hadn't ever been there prior to that day with my parents, it made me wish I'd gone there a couple times before 06-Melbourne Melbourne 07-QueenVicMarket A very nice sports car at Queen Vic Market 08-HookTurnSign A sign for a hook turn ... Melbourne is known for its hook turns ... What is a hook turn? Well, at certain intersections if you want to make a right turn, you have to move into the left-most lane (and remember that they drive on the left side of the road, so a right turn is crossing traffic) ... when the light turns green, you pull out into the middle of the intersection, but move even further left, and then just wait there until the light turns red again, at which point then you turn right ... it's kinda scary the first time you do it, but then it's fine 09-MelbourneZoo After Queen Vic Market we went to the Melbourne Zoo, another place I hadn't ever been to in my nearly five months in Melbourne 10-KnottedTree A knotted tree at Melbourne Zoo 11-PalmTree-Giraffe A palm tree and a giraffe 12-Brolgas Two brolgas 14-Lorikeet Lorikeet 15-Heron Heron 16-RedParrot Red parrot 17-WaterBird Some sort of water bird 18-Ducks Several ducks 19-RelaxingRoos Relaxing roos 20-RedGreyKangaroos Red and grey kangaroos 21-WallabyEmu Wallaby and an emu 22-Owl Owl (a barn owl, I think) 23-GiraffesOstrich Giraffes and an an ostrich 24-ZebraOstrichGiraffe Zebra, ostrich and a giraffe 25-Cassowary Cassowary 26-ElephantSign Elephant Sign 27-AustralianPelicans Australian pelicans 28-Butterflies Butterflies 29-ColourfulButterfly The butterfly cage was chock full of endangered butterflies like this beautiful one 30-Butterfly Another butterfly at the Melbourne Zoo 31-Moth Moth 32-Butterfly Another butterfly
