The Audibles message boards at FightOnState.com have a thread for Michigan week haikus right now. Most of them are pretty clever, and even follow the 5-7-5 syllable rule, though none of them were true haikus, because they failed to make a seasonal/nature reference (unless mentioning Nittany Lions and/or Wolverines (“Skunkbears”) counts). So here’s my haiku that I just posted a few minutes ago:
Chill of autumn comes
Revenge is dish best served cold
Lions eat Skunkbears
Only two more days till Penn State plays Michigan. Getting more and more nervous…
